  • Implemented multiple Altiris Notification Server 7 upgrades.
  • Asset and Client management with Helpdesk, integrating from a manual process to fully utilizing Altiris for all processes, in Automotive Tier 2 Company.
  • Lead Engineer on a 20,000 computer implementation for a leading chemical development company. Neil was involved for 12 weeks on this project from design to rollout.
  • Supported a 6000 seat implementation. Worked with departments to overcome challenges during various migrations including, server migrations, packaging and managing assets during a transition from local use of Altiris to global deployment of Altiris. Successful in implementing CMS, AMS, Server Management and Wise Package Studio for this particular client.
  • Participated in a 6000 seat installation of TMS. Involved in a deep dive of Application Metering and pushing agents. Developed strategy and pushed to a sample group of computers on the network where multiple domains in a large medical facility.
  • Implemented Helpdesk in an environment that had three instances of another helpdesk. The client desire was to be able to see tickets from other sources and have a common repository. Implemented first level routing and notification rules in preparation for an ERP system that was coming online.
  • Project lead at retailer with 25,000 clients. Rollout client with asset design work. Prepared for a major rollout and fundamental change in focus in their stores, with 70% fewer resources needed per store rollout.
  • Asset management in financial sector for contract management, CMDB.
  • Custom work with ASDK to migrate software, packages, and asset information from previous management tools into Altiris Total Management Suite, saving at least 1500 man hours. Saved customer >$300,000 in automating of processes with deployment solution. Scripted windows 7 deployment with hardware independent installation, faster than current imaging process.

Chris graduated with a degree in Electronics Engineering and has spent 17 years working in Information Technology. Before joining ITS Partners, Chris was the Backline Engineer for Workflow, Servicedesk, and Deployment Solution with Symantec. During this time he worked directly with Development on changes and enhancements needed to improve the products especially Workflow and Servicedesk, and suggested code and flow changes that would improve the process. Code level troubleshooting both IIS, C#, ASP, Java, SQL troubleshooting was required on a daily basis. Chris has a strong background in many area of IT infrastructure, including Hardware, software, OS(windows, linux, and MAC). Chris also has strong knowledge of Virtual management and deployment.

A Few Accomplishments

  • Educated customers and partners at various events such as ManageFusion on Deployment Solution and hardware management including physical ad virtual systems.
  • Helped Numerous Symantec customers implement and customize workflow, Servicedesk, and Deployment solution, including coding and scripting and procedural processes.
  • Built a process for a Government contractor to deploy 5000 VMWARE ESX 4 servers, bare metal to full ESX 4 HOST OS.
  • Trained all the Symantec Support team both US and Estonia employees in Workflow and Servicedesk.
  • Created installation and troubleshooting procedures now used on the Symantec KB system and is the basis for ITS Partners standard procedures.
  • Developed a Time tracking system in C#/ASP that saved the company thousands of dollars in monthly charges to a 3rd party vendor for monthly charges. This process integrated Asset Management for Support Contracts; Weekly Entry for contract to track the amount of time spent working with the customer. Created Numerous custom reports that were used for both support and Sales all done in c#/ASP coding
  • Rolled out Norton Antivirus Corporate edition, setup so that the main server received updates from the internet, passed down to remote servers and automatically updated all clients with latest Antivirus files
  • Created a tracking system for the IS team that used a MYSQL Database and a C++ front end.
  • Migrated over 600 objects from one Netware NDS tree to another existing tree. To do this Chris developed, through C++, a Client/Server tool that the users would interface with to cleanly migrate their login information and files.
  • Created through C++ a tool for installing application to remote and non client users. This tool used the same image that was created for Novell Application Launcher (NAL).
  • Was the first to successfully implement a full Netware 5.x environment with Novell Distributed Print Services (NDPS)
  • Created other tools to help users more efficiently access the network, whether they were in the local office of around the world.
