Neil Rogers is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) in Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000. He is an Altiris Certified Engineer and Professional with over ten years of consulting experience. In addition, Neil is involved in the Altiris Authorized Consultant (AAC) program. Other areas of certification are CCEA and CCA. Neil’s strength is working in a variety of environments where he is able to support and implement enterprise technology solutions.. His primary focus is process management with Altiris/Symantec Solutions in the enterprise business space, including Symantec Endpoint Protection and Data Loss Prevention. Neil has been with ITS since mid 2003.

A Few Accomplishments

  • Implemented multiple Altiris Notification Server 7 upgrades.
  • Asset and Client management with Helpdesk, integrating from a manual process to fully utilizing Altiris for all processes, in Automotive Tier 2 Company.
  • Lead Engineer on a 20,000 computer implementation for a leading chemical development company. Neil was involved for 12 weeks on this project from design to rollout.
  • Supported a 6000 seat implementation. Worked with departments to overcome challenges during various migrations including, server migrations, packaging and managing assets during a transition from local use of Altiris to global deployment of Altiris. Successful in implementing CMS, AMS, Server Management and Wise Package Studio for this particular client.
  • Participated in a 6000 seat installation of TMS. Involved in a deep dive of Application Metering and pushing agents. Developed strategy and pushed to a sample group of computers on the network where multiple domains in a large medical facility.
  • Implemented Helpdesk in an environment that had three instances of another helpdesk. The client desire was to be able to see tickets from other sources and have a common repository. Implemented first level routing and notification rules in preparation for an ERP system that was coming online.
  • Project lead at retailer with 25,000 clients. Rollout client with asset design work. Prepared for a major rollout and fundamental change in focus in their stores, with 70% fewer resources needed per store rollout.
  • Asset management in financial sector for contract management, CMDB.
  • Custom work with ASDK to migrate software, packages, and asset information from previous management tools into Altiris Total Management Suite, saving at least 1500 man hours. Saved customer >$300,000 in automating of processes with deployment solution. Scripted windows 7 deployment with hardware independent installation, faster than current imaging process.
