Dan Koedoot is an Altiris Certified Professional and Engineer. He is proficient in Notification Server, Altiris Service Desk and Altiris Workflow Solution, and currently specializes in projects involving Workflow and Service Desk. He also has experience with Web application development and is proficient with both Windows desktop and server OSes and Microsoft Office suites. He currently focuses on Altiris Workflow Solution, in conjunction with Altiris Service Desk. Prior to joining the ITS team, Dan worked at a regional food distributor and performed various functions, including database and application development, desktop support and network administration.
A Few Accomplishments
- Performed in-depth Workflow and Service Desk training and knowledge transfer at a large Regional Hospital. Activities included Service Desk setup, in-depth training in Workflow and Service Desk, implementation of security groups, customization of Service Desk console, redesign and extension of underlying Workflow processes.
- Has done several Symantec Service Desk implementations, involving working with enterprise customers with specialized needs for customization within Incident, Change and Problem Management.
- Deployed Altiris Service Desk at Enterprise Accounting/Management customer; managed migration from Altiris Helpdesk 6.5 and implementation of new Service Desk features. Activities included overall project design, Workflow training and knowledge transfer, implementation of security groups, customization of Service Desk console, redesign and extension of underlying Workflow processes.
- Participated in limited Closed Beta for Altiris Service Desk, working in conjunction with the Service Desk development team to provide feedback and fixes for pre-release versions of Service Desk.
- Completed Workflow project for large Enterprise Customer utilizing integration with Notification Server, Deployment Server and Microsoft SQL Server. Set up a Workflow project that utilized several data sources to build reports on provisioned server details, including OS settings, hardware and BIOS settings, installed applications, and installed updates.
- Completed build of internal Workflow processes for Enterprise Customer including On-Board process and Hardware Request process. Activities for this project included working with the project sponsor to gather all requirements for the projects, design of Workflows and underlying databases, testing, and rollout to production.
- Designed, built and tested Workflow projects for use at a Property Management customer. Projects were designed to replace customer’s paper and ad-hoc processes for managing on-boarding of new employees, changes in status of existing employees, and ITSM change management.
- Completed Workflow builds for internal use at ITS. Projects involved building a framework for managing Technical Resource scheduling, a central application to enable ITS employees to track personal and corporate goals, and a central Portal to allow single sign-on to all ITS Workflow and other applications.
